What we are and our history

The University Health Services is made up of Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Radio-diagnosis, Medical Laboratory, Medical Records and Environmental Health Units. It is headed by a Consultant Public Health Physician as the Director, Health Services (DHS), Dr. Nasir O. Ariyibi with the able assistance of esteemed, well qualified doctors, nurses, pharmacist and other health workers as follow; Dr C.O Eferaro Head Medical Units, Pharm. A. O. Taiwo, Head Pharmacy Unit, Mr. Shittu, A. D, Head Med. Laboratory Unit, Mr. M. Olusegun Head Radiodiagnosis Unit, Mrs. K. Adedun Head Environmental Health Unit, Mrs. E. Ogunmodede Head Nursing Unit and Mr. Akintade, S. A, Head Med. Information Mgt Unit. There are over 95 other health workers delivering quality healthcare services to the LASU community.

The Health Centre

We are equiped with 40-bed ultramodern facility with 4 wards, a modern Theatre Suite, a mini ICU, a Labour ward, X-ray Machine, Ultrasound Machine and a well-equipped medical laboratory to offer quality care on a 24-hour basis with three (3) Ambulances across the campuses (Ojo, Epe & Badagry) for transfer of cases beyond its scope to secondary/tertiary health facilities.
